A crucial part of every camping trip is deciding what to pack and what to leave behind when the time comes to bid farewell to creature comforts and head out into the great outdoors.

Packing the right accessories is important so read on for camping essentials you should take with you.

There are plenty of useful online resources that’ll also no doubt prove useful so be sure to do plenty of research, for example visit pitchup.com for more details on camping offers and destination guides.

Multiple layers of clothing. You’re likely to encounter sudden changes in temperature so pack plenty of layers of clothing so you can be ready for every eventuality.

First-aid kit. Take a few first-aid essentials (plasters, bandage, antiseptic cream, any prescription medication etc) just in case.

Torch and batteries.

Ground mat. Make that hard floor as comfortable as possible when the time comes to get some shut eye.

Pillow and sleeping bag.

Mallet.

Wellies and waterproof jacket.

Snacks. Pack plenty of non-perishable foodstuffs to keep hunger at bay.

Water. Hydration is crucial so buy a big refillable water container.

Toothbrush and toothpaste.

Babywipes. For a quick and easy way to clean your hands.

Sun lotion, after sun and insect repellent. Deter creepy crawlies and protect against the sun’s harmful ray.

Durable crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils.

Cooking stove and a refill gas cylinder.

Washing-up liquid and washing-up bowl.

Tin/bottle opener. You don’t want to be left unable to open that can of beans or nice bottle of beer after a long day.

Folding chairs.

Matches.

Toilet/kitchen roll.

Travel-size toiletries and towel.

Sunglasses and hat.

Bin bags.

We Filipinos are normally food lovers. We love cooking and Adobo is undoubtedly one of our main dish favorites. Adobo can be Pork adobo, fish, vegetable, or Chicken adobo. Adobo is a dish cooked in vinegar and garlic. Ingredients in cooking adobo include oil, soy sauce, sugar, onion, laurel leaf, and sugar. Deliciously cooked adobo is golden brown and taste great. The name Adobo was taken from the Spanish method of preserving foods, which means seasoning or marinade. With its mouth-watering taste, Filipinos served adobo in their daily meals as well as during special occasions like feasts, birthdays, weddings, and the like.

The Philippines has numerous heroes but Dr. Jose P. Rizal was the one hailed as the country’s national hero. Born in Calamba, Laguna, Rizal is a Chinese Filipino and is the seventh of the eleven children in the family. The family of Rizal is wealthy enough to send him to Ateneo Municipal de Manila taking Bachelor of Arts and later at the University of Santo Tomas to take Medicine and Philosophy and Letters. Rizal has two famous novels, the Noli me Tangere and the El filibusterismo, which are both introduced to Filipino students in their University days. To credit his works to the country, you can find the Monument of Rizal at the Rizal Park also known as the Luneta Park.

Visita Iglesia is one of the activities Filipinos do in the observance of the Lenten season, wherein pilgrims will visit seven churches on Maundy Thursday. Others will visit fourteen churches representing the fourteen station of the cross. In other parts of the Philippines, particularly in the provinces, there were re-enactment of the station of the cross and they call it the Via Crucis. Re-enactors even have themselves nailed on the cross, as they believe that doing so will keep them closer to GOD. In Marinduque, they have the Moriones festival held. They have the Morions portraying as Roman soldiers whipping Christ while heading Golgotha.

When the calendar hits the 16th of December, it is already an indication that the celebration of Christmas has already started in the Philippines. Roman Catholic will start to hear dawn masses “Simbang Gabi” starting this day for 9 mornings, wherein the last day of Simbang Gabi will be on the 24th. Many of the Filipinos who are Roman Catholics believe that completing the 9 mornings is equivalent to a wish come true. Included in the dawn masses are known Filipino delicacies like Puto Bumbong matched with a hot chocolate drink, which are sold in churchyards. Churchgoers buy this food after mass and have their breakfast together.

I recently found out that for serious Photographers a 35mm Slide Scanner is one of the best tools he should invest in. Why? Well because this device bridges the gap between 20th and the 21st Century with regards to photography technologies. So what’s so special about this scanner is that it scans 35mm slides and film negatives. In other words, you can digitalize your old films.

Another thing that you would love about this slide scanners is that it allows you to make a back up version of the slide. By having back ups, you wouldn’t need to freak out anymore if you lost the slide or something.

These scanners are not exactly cheap so I advise you to look around first. It is important to find the Best Slide Scanner at a price that is friendly to you pocket and to do that I think you should read Slide Scanner Reviews before you go and buy yourself a slide scanner.
